Poás

From Rio Celeste and Volcán Tenorio we headed to Volcán Poás.

Dave got a little grumpy with me for only following the GPS on my phone rather than double checking with the map. Admittedly, we did get steered down a bumpy country road that we could have avoided, but we made the best of it!

Hanging out the sunroof……

Beautiful vistas as we headed up the mountain.

New adventures at the Volcán Poás Lodge. The drive up was fun because we spied a lot of the strawberry growing operations we had heard about. All over this particular area you can buy local, freshly grown strawberries which was a treat!

Gunnera Insignis or Poor Man’s Umbrella.

We made a friend who wasn’t shy about getting cozy right away!

Otherworldy.

Late night monopoly game.

This place had me with its greenhouse alone.

Breakfast! This was the first time we had a chance to make use of some of our warmer clothing.

Tess took a shine to following the yellow arrows.

It was delightful to see the girls frolicking through this majestic landscape.

A beautiful morning for a hike.

On to the next adventure!
