I made a friend who likes to work with clay and she invited me to work with her a few times. I decided to make some basic cups because I have a vision of creating some kind of simple, positive ritual with the girls where we chat on the beach at sunset and drink tea (or something like that).

I used the coral as a stamp to create some texture.

Sol had her own vision of firing the pots on the beach at full moon. We were delayed in November due to heavy rain, but the ‘cold moon’ of December turned out to be the perfect day.

While the adults admired and tended the fire, the kids discovered a very playful black kitten. Just a regular Wednesday night in Costa Rica.
